Compact and easy to use, the RED31 controller has been designed to measure, visualize, and control temperature, from – 50 to + 150 °C, with the possibility of managing timed or direct defrost cycles for compressor stop.
It is specific for direct-acting heating and positive temperature refrigeration systems.
The thermostat can directly drive, via a relay, a compressor or a resistor with absorption up to 8 or 30 A. The compressor is switched on when the temperature rises to the set point value + differential and is switched off when the temperature falls to the set point value.
It is also able to manage defrost cycles by time stop: the interval between defrosts and their duration are programmable by the user. The temperature is detected by means of a semiconductor NTC probe, which can be positioned up to 10 m away from the thermostat without the need to recalibrate the instrument. The display of the temperature detected by the probe is via a red LED display.
