DConnect
DConnect-WiFi is the DTI innovative module which allows to connect any electronic equipment to the Cloud via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
With a small form factor, DConnect Wi-Fi is easily embeddable in any type of system: from professional equipment to the smallest consumer electronics.
RS485, RS232 and GPIOs are available to communicate with external devices and control electronics.
Communication with PC, tablet and smartphone is done via webserver, local Wi-Fi or, for DConnect BLE, through the embedded Bluetooth module.
The Bluetooth module BLE 4.2 is powered by a Cypress CYMBLE chip and can communicate with tablet, smartphones and computers (equipped with Bluetooth interface).
It is highly customizable thanks a DTI proprietary protocol. DConnect BLE can be easily switched from master to slave configuration and change transmission speed.
Interface
The equipment can be controlled from a minimal and functional graphic interface. This control system can show graphs, configuration paraments and optionally a user list.
Interaction from simple devices like smartphons and tablets is ensured by a button interface. The responsive design also adapt the interface to the target devices.
Through the web interface it’s possible to access important information such as:
- Machine position
- Alarms status
- Mode of utilisation
- Diagnostics
DConnect-NB and DConnect-LTE are the DTI modules for connecting electronic devices to the narrowband.
It is a versatile solution: it can be both external source and battery powered. It can feature a series of GPIO for stand-alone use.
NB-IoT main advantages:
- Energy efficiency: technologies like the NB-IoT feature lowenergy consumption.
- Low cost: communication modules technology is simple, andthe price is lower compared to traditional solutions.
- Wide coverage: NB-IoT signal also covers remote, industrial,and underground places, where other signals can beinterrupted.
- Low latency
- Wide range of supported connections: it is possible toconnect tens of thousands of devices (up to 150.000 for eachcell).
- Easy deployment: unlike LTE-M1, the NB-IoT does not needa gateway to ensure connectivity.
- Versatility: global roaming and localization allows a wideinstallation flexibility.
